FSR Membership Terms

1. Your membership with FSR

Future Stack Reviews (“FSR”) is operated by Future Stack LLC (Japanese legal name: 合同会社Future Stack). This company provides your membership and is referred to as “we” or “us” in these terms. Its published company and contact details are in section 12 of the Company Privacy Policy (https://future-stack.co.jp/en/privacy/).

FSR is an English-language publication that helps readers evaluate AI and SaaS through evidence, context and stated limits. These terms cover individual membership and the features below. Consulting, procurement, implementation and other services for organizations require a separate agreement.

Public articles remain available under their public access conditions. Membership does not grant access to every article or include benefits of another plan.

2. Eligibility and registration

Membership is open to people aged 18 or older, internationally, where you have legal capacity to enter this agreement and we can lawfully provide the service. Availability does not establish that every feature can be offered in every country. If a legal restriction prevents us from accepting or continuing your membership, we will explain the available options where lawful and practicable, using the notice and closure arrangements below.

The standard registration process asks you to confirm that you are at least 18; it does not request your date of birth or an identity document for that confirmation. Use an email address and authentication account you are entitled to use, provide accurate information when requested, and complete email verification.

Membership starts when you expressly accept the applicable terms and we confirm that your account is ready. Logging into an authentication provider alone does not complete FSR registration. Acceptance for a development preview or private test does not constitute acceptance of the terms for general membership.

3. What the free membership includes

Feature — Included scope

Individual membership — Free, with no membership charge.

Saved reading — Save up to 5 eligible public articles to your own reading list. Eligible articles are available through the member article list (https://future-stack-reviews.com/fsr-member/articles).

Watch — Follow 1 eligible item. Initially, the eligible item is Runway vs Pika (https://future-stack-reviews.com/runway-gen-4-vs-pika/). Read relevant changes that FSR has confirmed and published in your Watch page (https://future-stack-reviews.com/fsr-member/watch).

Article unlocking — Not included in this release. Registration does not unlock restricted article editions. These terms promise no unlocking start date.

Saving the same article again does not use another place. Removing a saved article frees that place. A save is a reference to an article, not a copy, permanent archive or additional access right. Articles may be corrected, updated, withdrawn or become unavailable. An unavailable saved item may no longer show its former title or link; you can remove it.

Watch is an FSR member-page feature. It does not include email or push notifications, continuous monitoring, a fixed update schedule, or a promise to detect or immediately report every change. An item may have no published updates. Published updates may be corrected or withdrawn when necessary to maintain their accuracy.

If we offer a paid service later, its price and billing, renewal, cancellation and refund conditions will be presented before you choose to buy it. This agreement does not authorize a future charge or automatic conversion to a paid plan.

4. Keeping access secure

Keep your sign-in access secure, do not share it, and contact member support if you suspect unauthorized access. A matching or changed email address does not by itself authorize us to combine accounts.

A session expires after seven days without activity and no later than 30 days after sign-in. Up to five devices may remain signed in at a time. Signing in on another device does not, by itself, sign out an existing device. Logging out, account closure, proportionate restrictions or a security revocation may end access sooner.

Data downloads, account-closure requests and other sensitive account actions require qualifying reauthentication less than 10 minutes earlier. You may therefore need to confirm your identity again while still signed in. Session expiry does not itself delete your membership or determine how long information is retained.

5. Using the publication and its content

Read an article with its sources, dates, method and limitations. Findings may depend on the version, settings, task or conditions described. Supplier prices, products, terms and availability can change. Research depth is not a universal score or a guarantee that a product suits your needs.

Our editorial work supports your assessment; membership does not include advice tailored to your circumstances or promise a particular purchasing, business, financial or technical outcome. Review relevant supplier terms and obtain professional advice where appropriate. These explanations do not remove responsibilities we have under applicable law.

You may read content you are entitled to access, use it to inform personal or work decisions, and share public article links. FSR and the relevant rights holders retain rights in their material. Uses permitted by law, including applicable quotation exceptions, remain available.

Do not resell or share member access, bypass access controls or usage limits, impersonate someone, obtain unauthorized access, infringe others’ rights, or intentionally disrupt the service. Individual membership does not provide shared seats or an organization-wide content licence. Contact support if a restriction appears to be mistaken, or to report a material editorial error with the article link and the point concerned.

6. Privacy and your choices

The FSR Membership Privacy Notice (https://future-stack-reviews.com/fsr-member/privacy) explains membership information and requests. Read it with the FSR Privacy Policy (https://future-stack-reviews.com/privacy/) for the publication and the Company Privacy Policy (https://future-stack.co.jp/en/privacy/) for the operator. The notice identifies the membership-specific processing; these terms do not turn a general policy statement into permission for an unspecified use.

Accepting these terms does not give blanket consent to optional tracking, marketing, new uses of information or disclosures requiring a separate legal basis or consent. Updating a policy page does not retrospectively supply consent for a new purpose. Where a further choice or notice is required, we will provide it.

Your reading list is private member information, not a public submission. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, identity documents or confidential customer records through ordinary support email. If additional verification is needed, contact us first for an appropriate process.

7. Support, restrictions and review

Contact support@future-stack-reviews.com (mailto:support@future-stack-reviews.com), including if you cannot sign in. You may write in your preferred language. We may ask to clarify a translation in English or Japanese.

We aim to send an initial reply within three business days, excluding weekends and public holidays in Japan. Unexpected disruptions may delay a reply, and resolving an issue may take longer. This support guideline does not replace legal deadlines for personal-data requests or other rights.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for a material breach, unauthorized use, a security risk or a legal requirement. The scope and duration should be proportionate. A verification problem may also prevent access until resolved.

Where lawful and practicable, we will explain the reason and give you a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue or seek review. We may act immediately if delay would create a material risk or conflict with law, then provide an explanation as soon as lawful and practicable. To dispute a restriction, email support with the issue and any relevant context. We will review that information and communicate the outcome. Contacting support is not a prerequisite to exercising legal rights.

8. Getting your data and ending membership

You can end your membership without a cancellation fee using the account-closure page (https://future-stack-reviews.com/fsr-member/delete). Member access stops when your verified closure request is accepted. Sending an ordinary email does not automatically delete an account; we must first verify and process the request.

Before closure, the membership data page (https://future-stack-reviews.com/fsr-member/data) lets you download the available membership records in a JSON file named fsr-member-data.json. This includes account status and identifiers, consent history, saved reading, Watch records and any applicable Unlock or closure records. It is not a complete export of all information held by the site, support or providers, and is not an account-restoration backup.

If you cannot use these pages, including because you do not accept revised terms, ask support for data access or export, account closure, or both. We will use proportionate identity verification and explain how the request will be handled. You do not need to accept revised terms merely to submit those requests or exercise your legal rights.

We remove ordinary FSR-held account information, sign-in connections, Save and Watch records, and any applicable Unlock records as soon as possible, normally within seven calendar days after the verified closure request is accepted. That is the upper limit for normal processing, not a seven-day waiting period.

Limited evidence, documented legal holds, records needed to prevent a closed account being restored, backups and provider-held information are addressed separately in the Privacy Notice. Closure does not instantly erase every copy. A responsible operator separately identifies and handles the FSR-related authentication record; closing FSR membership does not authorize deletion of an unrelated or shared sign-in account. Retained information is not permission to reactivate your membership.

9. Availability, service changes and closure

Maintenance, security measures or faults may interrupt member features. We will take reasonable steps to address interruptions. Public editorial access is intended to remain separate from account-dependent features; neither is promised to be uninterrupted.

For a material reduction in the agreed member features or permanent closure of membership, we will normally give at least 30 calendar days’ advance notice on the FSR member notices page (https://future-stack-reviews.com/fsr-member/notices), with an indication on the member account page (https://future-stack-reviews.com/fsr-member/member). The notice will explain what is changing, why, when, and your options to obtain available data and end membership before the change.

Urgent legal or security requirements may require a shorter period, limited to what is reasonably necessary. We will notify affected members as soon as lawful and practicable and explain available data-access and closure options. If a member page is inaccessible, you can use support. We will use any additional notice method required by applicable law.

These arrangements do not give us an unrestricted right to withdraw agreed benefits. A reduction or termination must also be permitted by the agreement and applicable law. Editorial corrections and changes to individual articles remain part of maintaining the publication; they are not a promise that each article will remain unchanged for a notice period.

10. Responsibility and legal rights

Our responsibility for loss is determined by applicable law. These terms do not impose a monetary liability cap, exclude responsibility for intentional conduct or gross negligence, or give FSR sole authority to decide whether it is responsible.

Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer protection, remedies or other rights that the law gives you. The fact that membership is free does not itself remove those protections. If a provision is unenforceable, it will not be applied to that extent; the remaining provisions continue only so far as the law permits.

11. Changes to these terms

We may propose changes for a stated reason, such as a change to the service, law or a security requirement. We will make the revised text, changes and proposed effective date available through member notices (https://future-stack-reviews.com/fsr-member/notices) and indicate the notice on your member account page.

For a material change that disadvantages members, we will normally give at least 30 calendar days’ advance notice, with the limited urgent legal or security exception and prompt notice described in section 9. Other changes will receive the notice required by law. A notice period does not by itself make an otherwise invalid change binding.

A change becomes binding only through a valid agreement or a mechanism permitted by applicable law, including its requirements for a reasonable change and appropriate notice. Where express agreement is needed, we will ask for it. Silence, browsing or signing in does not by itself signify agreement to revised terms. A change does not retrospectively supply consent for new data processing.

If you disagree with a proposed change, you can request available data and end membership using section 8, including through support if online functions are unavailable. We will not rewrite the version or time of your earlier acceptance as acceptance of a new version. 12. Applicable law, disputes and language

Applicable law determines which legal rules and courts govern a dispute. These terms do not select an exclusive court, require arbitration, or deprive you of mandatory protections that apply in your place of residence or otherwise. You may contact member support to seek a resolution without giving up other available remedies.

FSR publishes these terms in English. Translations may help you understand them; contact support about an ambiguity before accepting. No language provision overrides mandatory protections or makes a translation-related legal right unavailable.
